Legnano

Noble city of ancient splendor, the municipality of Legnano is famous in Lombardy and in the rest of Italy for the history and traditions that it jealously preserves. It was precisely in Legnano that the famous battle took place that led the defenses of the Lombard League to stop the unstoppable advance of Federico Barbarossa towards the rest of northern Italy. And the city still today preserves testimonies of the historic battle. Walking through the streets of downtown, between Piazza San Magno and Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi it will be possible to savor the "glories of the past" extraordinarily interpreted by the unmistakable Art Nouveau and Renaissance style, which can be appreciated by everyone from every corner of the city. Also worth a visit are the Basilica of San Magno, the most important in the city, in perfect Renaissance style and the beautiful Palazzo Malinverni, which now houses the Town Hall.
