Italian city with over 50 thousand inhabitants, the city of Rho, near Milan (about 14 km) is today one of the major industrial and exhibition centers in Italy. The city of Rho in recent years, and in particular from the Universal Exposition of 2015 (Expo), has become the heart and the nerve center of the main international events that are based in the Lombard territory. The pavilions of Expo 2015, today in Fieramilano, allowed many visitors to take advantage of the international exhibition to discover the many beauties that the city of Rho and the capital of Lombardy are able to offer during the course of the year.
The theme addressed during the 2015 Expo focused on nutrition and energy (title: "Feeding the planet, energy for life"), and among the pavilions of the Fair (about 110 hectares), over 22 million visitors could not only admire the varied architectural constructions present but took part directly in the many debates and workshops on the most delicate and widespread food issues in the Planet. The exhibition space is a real architectural jewel: from the futuristic pavilions you reach the main road (Decumano) that crosses perpendicularly some lanes that reach up to Piazza Italia, where the Tree of Life is installed (symbol of the pavilion of the 'Italy during the international event).
With the end of the Universal Exposition, the Expo area has been included within Fieramilano (the largest in Europe), which is today not only the symbolic place of the trade fair events in Lombardy but also a true place of meeting for young and old. Inside Fieramilano there is in fact, among others, the Biodiversity Park, where it is possible to walk among greenhouses and land cultivated by plant species typical of the Italian territory: the many fans of gardens and gardens will be able to admire live species that are symbols of biodiversity Italian food and have fun in the company between themed games and digital installations. Present at Fieramilano also an area dedicated entirely to children: the Children Park. A real natural and sensory park where the youngest can perform multiple activities. There are also numerous event areas in the exhibition center: from outdoor theaters, such as the Lake Arena, you can go to boutiques and restaurants from all over the world.
To reach Fieramilano, take the M1 (red line) to Rho-Fieramilano and then follow the signs. For those traveling by train, the recommended lines are the S5 from Varese; the S6 from Novara or the S14 towards Rho-Fieramilano.
